Armed with our Hop On cards, we bused it into the city centre and pulled up at the Auckland Art Gallery. Honestly, the place was kinda fire. There’s this super cool room with plantings of Nairi Chiefs, showing little snapshots of their lives, and showing their amazing facial tattoos
There were loads of other interesting exhibits too — art showing the cultural connection with the sea snd ocean; so e hard hitting reminders about the threats of pollution and rising sea levels.
After that we hopped on a ferry over to Devonport, grabbed some lunch, then headed back to the city later for a proper Chinese feast.
We’ve been in NZ for three weeks now and not gonna lie, it’s been non-stop. We’ve seen and done so much, but it also feels like we’ve barely scratched the surface. There’s just so much to learn about this place.
But yeah… time to switch it up. Tomorrow we’re flying out to Hong Kong for the next chapter ✈️
