Not a stomach bug, really — more the price of something eaten too late the night before, and only me, not M. So the day became a slow one: a late start, very little achieved, a short wander into the city for a few daily bits, and an early return. There isn’t much more to tell, and that’s the point. A trip of any length has its flat days, when the body calls a halt and the only sensible plan is not to have one. We took the hint, and were glad of it the next morning.
