It’s Saturday. Last weekend out here in Sydney 😭✈️
Today’s vibe: go for a park walk, inhale some elite dim sum, and maybe start pretending to prep for the New Zealand trip. Bonus challenge: not get absolutely drenched by the thunderstorm the forecast kept threatening.
Low-key smashed most of it. Caught the train to Concorde West, wandered through Olympic Park (this time heading north to Rhodes), then hit up the Phoenix restaurant in the Rhodes shopping centre for dim sum.
Actual NZ prep? Yeah… that part didn’t really happen 💀
But the dim sum moment? Worth it. Sitting in this massive restaurant with red lanterns everywhere, red-and-black walls, everything glowing with that cozy red vibe. Waitresses rolling around with carts stacked with food like it’s a dim sum street market on wheels. Just grabbing fried squid, har gau, siu mai, and all the other good stuff as they pass by.
M said the food was kinda mid and a bit salty.
Me? I was just vibing with the whole experience. 🥟✨
And somehow… we dodged the rain too. Absolute W. 🌧️➡️😌
