The Opua to Paihia coastal path? We could literally see the start of it from our apartment 👀 So today we were like “yeah easy walk” and headed off with our emotional support water bottles and some fruit.
At first it was giving main character energy — insane views of the bay, shaded seats for breaks, cute little headlands, very aesthetic 🌊✨
But then… the path said plot twist. It stopped being a chill seaside stroll and turned into this never-ending up-and-down hike?? Like why was it so long 😭
By the time we finally made it to Paihia we were absolutely cooked, legs gone, energy at 0%. No way we were walking back. Immediately called a taxi because we are not heroes 🚕💀
